A gulf that has shone on the world’s maps as Pars since the cradle of civilization from the clay tablets of the Elamites to the stone inscriptions of the Achaemenids, from the travelogues of Phoenician sailors to the maps of Greek geographers. This fiery azure sea has witnessed the glory of civilizations that left the world in awe: from Cyrus to Darius, from Ardashir to Anushirvan. Every wave whispers a tale of the courage of people who etched their homeland’s borders into eternity with their blood.

از سپیده دم تاریخ تا اوج آفتاب امروز، خلیج فارس همچون نگینی جاودان در تارک سرزمین ایران می درخشد. این آبی بیکران، شاهد تپش قلب تمدنی است که هزاران سال است در سینه اش نقش بسته؛ از فراز امپراتوری پارس تا شکوه سلسله های پس از آن. نامش فارس، تنها یک عنوان جغرافیایی نیست، بلکه خون در رگ های این سرزمین، نفس در سینه تاریخ و شعاری است که در هر ذره از خاک ایران طنین انداز است.

From the first light of history to the zenith of today’s sun, the Persian Gulf remains an immortal jewel upon Iran’s crown. This boundless blue bears witness to the heartbeat of a civilization engraved in its soul for millennia from the zenith of the Persian Empire to the splendor of its successor dynasties. Its name, Fars (Persia), is no mere geographic label. It is the blood in this land’s veins, the breath in history’s lungs, and a mantra echoing through every grain of Iran’s soil.

خلیج فارس، تنها یک پهنهٔ آبی نیست؛ گورستان امپراتوری های متجاوز است که خیال تغییر نامش را در سر پروراندند. هلندی ها، پرتغالی ها، انگلیسی ها … همگی آمدند و رفتند، اما نام پارس همچون کوهی استوار، بر تارک تاریخ ماند. این خلیج، دریای پارسوماش است، یادگار ایلامیان باستان؛ آب راهی است که اروندِ شکوهمندش در اشعار مولانا جاری است و تنگهٔ هرمزش در دلِ امواجش، آتش غیرت ایرانیان را شعله ور نگه می دارد.

The Persian Gulf is not just a body of water; it is the graveyard of invading empires that dared dream of altering its name. The Dutch, the Portuguese, the English … all came and vanished, yet the name Pars stands unshaken, a mountain carved into history’s face. This gulf is the Sea of Parsumash, a legacy of ancient Elam; a waterway whose majestic Arvand River flows through Rumi’s poetry, and whose Strait of Hormuz, amidst its waves, keeps the flame of Iranian valor alight.

خلیج فارس، اشک های تاریخ است که در چشمان ما جاری می شود؛ دریایی که هر موجش روایتی است از مادرانی که فرزندانشان را به آغوشش سپردند و هرگز بازنگشتند، از پدرانی که نامش را با خون بر سنگ های ساحل نوشتند. اینجا، نفس های زمین با آهنگ دلتنگی های ایرانیان درهم آمیخته؛ هر قطره اش عشقی است که در رگ های نسل ها جریان دارد، خاطره ای که با بوسه های موج بر ساحل، بر جانمان نقش می بندد. وقتی باد از عمق این دریا می گذرد، فریاد هزاران شهید را می شنوی که از ژرفای آب ها فریاد می زنند: «ما اینجا ایستادیم تا تو بتوانی امروز با غرور بگویی: خلیج فارس، خانهٔ همیشگی من است» این دریا، گهوارهٔ اجداد ماست، آیینهٔ رنج ها و پیروزی های یک ملت. اگر روزی خورشید هم خاموش شود، نور این نام، جاودانه بر پیشانی ایران خواهد درخشید.

The Persian Gulf is the tears of history streaming from our eyes, a sea where every wave tells of mothers who entrusted their children to its embrace, never to return; of fathers who inscribed its name in blood upon coastal stones. Here, the earth’s sighs blend with the melodies of Iranian longing; every drop is a love flowing through generations’ veins, a memory etched into our souls by the waves’ kisses upon the shore. When the wind sweeps across these depths, you hear the cries of thousands of martyrs rising from the abyss: “We stood here so you may proudly proclaim today: The Persian Gulf is my eternal home.” This sea is the cradle of our ancestors, a mirror to a nation’s struggles and triumphs. Should the sun itself fade, the light of this name will forever gleam upon Iran’s brow.

هر ذره از خاک سواحل این خلیج، با عشق ایرانیان به میهن گره خورده است. از بانگِ طبل رستم در بندر سیراف تا فریادهای دلیران قشم در نبرد با استعمار، از اشک های مادران بوشهری که فرزندان شان را به دریانوردی می سپردند تا خون شهیدانی که در جنگ نفتکش ها، آب های نیلگونش را سرخ نگه داشتند. اینجا خلیجِ فارس است؛ جایی که حتی بادهایش به فارسی زمزمه می کنند و ماهی هایش در آب هایش، نام ایران را با خود می برند.

Every grain of sand along this gulf’s coast is bound to Iranians’ love for their homeland—from the echo of Rostam’s drum in the port of Siraf to the battle cries of Qeshm’s heroes against colonizers; from the tears of Bushehr’s mothers sending their sons to sea, to the blood of martyrs who dyed its azure waters crimson during the Tanker War. This is the Persian Gulf: where even the winds whisper in Persian, and its fish carry Iran’s name through its currents.

کدام طوفان می تواند خورشید را از آسمان برباید؟ کدام تحریف می تواند هزاران سند تاریخی را نابود کند؟ از نقشهٔ «هکاتوس» در ۵۰۰ پیش از میلاد تا اسناد رسمی سازمان ملل در قرن بیست و یکم، خلیج فارس، همیشه و همیشه فارس بوده است. این نام، نه یک واژه، که هویتی است که در دلِ سنگ های تخت جمشید، در خطوط شاهنامهٔ فردوسی، و در خاطرهٔ جمعی ملتی زنده است که هرگز اجازه نخواهد داد حتی ذره ای از شرافت جغرافیایی اش را به یغما ببرند.

What tempest can rob the sky of its sun? What distortion can erase millennia of historical records? From Hecataeus’s map in 500 BCE to United Nations documents in the 21st century, the Persian Gulf has been, and will forever remain, Persian. This name is no mere word. It is an identity carved into the stones of Persepolis, woven into Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, and alive in the collective memory of a people who will never surrender an ounce of their geographic dignity.

نامی که در ژرفای تاریخ ریشه دوانده و با فرهنگ ملت ایران آمیخته شده و در ادبیات جهان جاودانه گشته است؛ چگونه می تواند دستخوش بازی های سیاسی شود؟ خلیج فارس، مانند ستارگان آسمان، همیشه بوده و خواهد بود. این نام، نه یک ادعا، که حقیقتی است به وسعت آسمان ها؛ حقیقتی که حتی دشمنان نیز در سکوت شب های خود به آن اعتراف می کنند.

A name rooted in history’s depths, fused with Iran’s culture, and immortalized in global literature, how can it be swayed by political gambits? The Persian Gulf, like the stars above, has always been and always will be. This name is not a claim but a truth as vast as the heavens, a truth even enemies whisper in the silence of night.

خلیج فارس، امروز و فردا و تا همیشه، همچون نگینِ تاجِ ایران خواهد درخشید. هر موجش فریاد میزند: این دریای پارس است! هر قطره اش سوگند خورده که تا ابد نامش را پاس بدارد. ما وارثان کوروش و آریو برزن، با قلم هایمان، شمشیرهایمان، و قلب هایمان، نگهبانان همیشه بیدار این میراث هستیم. خلیج فارس، همیشه خلیج فارس بوده، هست، و خواهد بود… تا آخرین نفسِ تاریخ.

The Persian Gulf, today, tomorrow, and forever, will shine as the jewel of Iran’s crown. Every wave roars: This is the Sea of Pars! Every drop vows to guard its name eternally. We, heirs to Cyrus and Aryo Barzan, stand vigilant, with pens, swords, and hearts, as eternal guardians of this legacy. The Persian Gulf has always been, is, and will remain… the Persian Gulf.
